New Moon in Cancer | New Transformation of the Heart

New Moon in Cancer: Where you find your healing, love and
forgiveness is where your wisdom resides.

What does it mean to forgive? And what does it truly mean to not want to forgive? Many of us believe that holding on to our anger makes us stronger, perhaps because we want to show that we are not putting up with another person's behaviours or actions any longer. When in truth, it only keeps us in a cycle of resentment. Nothing in life causes more pain and suffering within us than the judgments we hold against ourselves and others. Judgments, in essence, are thoughts and feelings we hold about what is, what was and what should be. So instead of hoping for a change in others, why not jump-start the change within ourselves? Just like that popular Mahatma Gandhi quote, "Be the change that you wish to see in the world."

Changing ourselves is not always about accommodating to another person's needs or outside circumstances. Changing ourselves can be a gift that we give to ourselves as we make new life changes that can be beneficial to our soul growth and well being. From there, we can gain a new perspective and look at the world around us through new eyes. Forgiveness is also not about approving what another person did to us, but more about forgiving ourselves for thinking that things could have been any different. We learn with each experience that we encounter, and self-forgiveness is that first important step we need to take to find healing from the past.

Healing comes from realizing that there is an endless well of love within us that can help us on our journey to forgiveness. A love that transcends all time and space. A love that transcends all pain and sorrow. Once we are aware of this deep inner love, we will see that our painful experiences are now nothing more than a thought or a feeling that we carry around. And this is when we can begin the process of releasing.

Happy New Moon! The Moon is joining Mercury, the Sun and Venus in Cancer, marking an extra heartfelt and mindful New Moon in the sign of the Crab. Emotions run deep and they are not going anywhere until we 'listen'. Let our emotions speak to us, with valuable messages and divine inspiration. Even in the midst of a busy day, remember to stop every once in a while to listen to our emotions, and ask ourselves, "How am I truly feeling right now?", "What am I supposed to learn from these feelings?", "Is there a way for me to love more or forgive more?". Although the answers may not come right away, listening more closely to our feelings can bring in new insights about ourselves. The New Moon in Cancer is indeed our time to heal and release those trapped or stuck emotions.

With the Moon forming a trine to Neptune Rx and Chiron Rx, we are guided to shift our mindset, from fear to faith. As one of the three water signs of the zodiac, Cancerians have deep emotions, but they can have trouble expressing them openly. By shifting our mindset to faith, we grow a deeper understanding of our own judgments and release our fear of being emotionally honest. Perhaps we need to be more courageous and stand up for our beliefs. To clearly stand our ground without the need to trample over others. To speak our truth by being clearly honest with ourselves. With time and practice, we can free ourselves from dishonesty in all forms and peel off layers of denial that has kept us tied to illusions.

The Moon is also forming a trine to Mars, which has recently gained momentum and began to move forward, inspiring us to understand better the emotional connection between our mind and body. As Plato once said, "The part can never be well unless the whole is well." Our bodies are constantly sending us messages. The physical discomforts we experience are actually tied up to our emotions. Recognize what we are experiencing physically as our body's way of reminding us of what we need to let go to propel us forward in the direction of our soul growth. There is no reason to hesitate. We are now the shaper of our own destiny.

With the Moon's opposition to Pluto Rx and sextile to Jupiter, both currently in Earth signs, a more grounded approach to transformation is being asked of us. A soulful transformation doesn't need to be a metaphysical concept. We may have been juggling a lot lately, from working on relationships, work projects, to managing life changes. We are at a tipping point and the key is to declutter. Try to clear our schedule so that we have more time for self-care to replenish our energy. Find one easy simple action that can help us stay in the present moment without allowing negative energy to pull us down. Make a new agreement with ourselves to freely experience our emotions without calling them wrong or blaming ourselves. Realign ourselves with the beauty of self-acceptance and affirm:

I forgive myself for not wanting to forgive others, and thinking that I can become stronger by doing so. This is no longer about who I need to forgive, but more about how I can learn, grow and evolve from my past. Not with anguish in my heart, but with love and forgiveness in my soul. As I embrace myself fully, I forgive myself more and heal myself even more. I now accept my imperfections and the imperfections in others. I can now understand that we are not here to be perfect, but to be wholly ourselves, and embrace each experience and lesson with an open heart. My soul is free, knowing that I'm always learning, always growing, always evolving. And this is helping me in my healing process. And so it is.

Full Moon in Sagittarius | Awakening to Your Truth, Realizing You Are Free

● | ● | ● | ●

 June 20th, 2016

We don't need to share the same opinions as others, but we need to be respectful.
Taylor Swift

Full Moon in Sagittarius: Conquer the false self by awakening
the magic of believing in your truth and living it.

We may have different beliefs, values, opinions and truths, but at the end of the day, do we truly believe in our own truth? Do we really believe that our truth matters? Do we respect ourselves enough to stand up for our truth - not from a place of condemnation of other people's truth, but one of personal growth, learning and evolution? There is a difference between the two. Because when we believe in something while at the same time feel the need to force others to believe in the same thing, it comes from fear rather than the truth.

A real, genuine truth that comes from the soul doesn't need to be justified in order to make others believe in it. It can motivate us to grow beyond our old limitations. It can inspire us to embrace the new because we know the old has served its purpose in our life. And from there we move forward understanding that we know better, understand better, and grow more fully into our most authentic self.

The magic of believing in our truth and living it begins when we no longer need the approval of others. We understand that despite our past mistakes, we are an evolving soul where we grow and learn with each step that we take. Even if others don't believe in our truth, we don't need to dismiss or condemn them because real truth is not about trying to change or control others. It's about finding our own personal meaning from our experiences and from there, inspire others to also find their own meaning from their experiences.

As we listen more closely to our true inner self, which lies deep within our false external self, we begin to see our truth more clearly. We can activate this underlying self by exploring the connection between our mind, body and spirit and what we can do to keep growing mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

Happy Full Moon! The Moon is back in Sagittarius, forming an opposition to Mercury and the Sun in Gemini, marking the second Full Moon in the sign of the Centaur. Having another Full Moon in the same sign, brings a second glimpse into what we need to understand in order for us to grow beyond those things that no longer serves us. With a Full Moon happening in the sign of the bow-wielding Centaur, we are asked to stop dwelling about the past and look forward, without worrying about the unknown nature of the future.

We can start from a place of curiosity - rather than from fear, by asking ourselves: "What can I do differently from this point forward in order for me to embody my most authentic self?" "How can I become stronger, wiser and more aware without needing to judge or control others?" "Is there a way for me to look at my old limitations without wallowing in negativity and unforgiveness so that I can move beyond them?"

With Mercury home in the sign of Gemini, thinking can get more elaborate with thoughts and ideas running through our minds as we speak. The key is to stay in the present and be honest with ourselves about what we are really feeling. Whenever distractions are pulling us away from our true priorities, staying grounded in the present helps us see more fully what's right in front of us.

Let's take a moment to calm our mind and body by taking a deep breath... Breathing... and exhaling more slowly is our way to deeper awareness. As we inhale and exhale, hold the intention of releasing old energy and bringing in new clarity and peace.

With the Moon's conjunction to Saturn Rx and square to Neptune Rx and Jupiter, we are guided to decipher between what's fiction and what's true. It can be frightening to face the truth, but it doesn't have to be. Sometimes the truth is asking us what needs to be changed. Sometimes it's reminding us how healing and learning can occur if we are open to growth. Perhaps we need to examine where we feel trapped, and look at alternatives. It is ultimately about the courage to break free of imagined restraints and anything toxic in our life.

Staying optimistic also no longer has to be about staying in a delusional state where we believe in something that we are not so sure of ourselves. But more about utilizing our unique gifts in a way that brings us hope to keep moving forward. Do no let the ego inspire us to imagine worse-case scenarios because it is indeed a waste of our powerful imagination. Imagine instead what can be beneficial to our soul growth as we make our way forward.

The Moon is also forming a trine to Uranus, and a much-needed breakthrough is in the cards. But since we are still under the hard square aspect between Saturn Rx and Neptune Rx, this breakthrough may not necessarily come easy. We may encounter feelings of irritability within ourselves or others, and it may even affect our health. Be present and notice what is going on right now. This very moment has the potential for us to create miracles in our life. So rather than looking too far ahead and hoping the future will provide us with certainty, remember that we are here today for a reason. Neither the past nor the future can give us what we need at this time.

The Full Moon in Sagittarius is reminding us not to focus on meeting a goal in the far-off future but on creating our dream now. To release our desire for an outcome and welcoming a sense of timelessness and unlimited potential. We now have within us the capacity to keep the faith and to keep going, no matter what. Feel confident in knowing that we are fulfilling our purpose each step of the way, and affirm:

"I am making my life easier with each joy that I plant into my heart, and each positive thought that I plant into my mind. I know that life may not always give me what I want, but it always gives me what I need in the right moment. And this is my sign to keep going forward with love, faith and zeal. The future is here and I am ready."

New Moon in Gemini | Understanding Misunderstandings and Misconceptions

● | ● | ● | ●

 June 5th, 2016

New Moon in Gemini: The shortest distance between two people is understanding.

Sometimes it's easier to misunderstand, than it is to understand. Sometimes it's easier to blame another person, than it is to blame our own perception. Sometimes it's easier to believe a lie, because we are afraid of the truth. Understanding misunderstandings and misconceptions can be especially challenging if we are not open to new ideas and possibilities.

Our ability to see from multiple perspectives is that first important quality we need to cultivate to begin our journey to understanding. Because rigidity in thinking breeds rigid behaviour. And rigid behaviour is the common cause of our inability to evolve. Mental flexibility is our brain's ability to transition from thinking about one concept to another. The quicker we are able to shift our thinking from one perspective to another, the greater our mental flexibility. And the greater our mental flexibility, the easier it will be for us to face unexpected situations.

Even if two people are able to shift their thinking to adapt to new changes, one may be able to accomplish this at a faster rate. This is due to the differences in their upbringing, cultural and religious backgrounds, as well as life experiences.

At the end of the day, understanding another person is not always about changing our beliefs and values. Understanding another person is about listening to the perspective of another - not from a place of judgment, but a place of openness. Openness to peace. Openness to love. Openness to progress.

Opening our mind to new ideas, concepts and possibilities is the way to an expanded awareness. Opening our mind to learning and updating old beliefs we have is the path to growth, evolution and better understanding.

Happy New Moon! The Moon is conjoining Venus and the Sun in Gemini marking an expressive and imaginative New Moon in the sign of the Twins. No matter how hard it can be sometimes to communicate our mind, know that the best way to go now is to be honest with ourselves.

Some of us are afraid of saying the wrong things, while others have no problem saying whatever is on their mind. The truth is, this is not a competition of who's the most talkative in the room. This is about finding a way to say what we mean and mean what we say. This is also not about saying things for the sake of speaking, but about speaking our mind without forgetting to listen to our heart.

With Venusian energy in the mix, we can find ways to improve our conversation skills. Understand that one of the best ways to connect with people and build authentic relationships is through making conversation. Talking a little more slowly or holding more eye contact is one of the first steps we can take to become more aware of what we are communicating. Expressing our emotions more openly and offering new insights are also important things to consider to help convey our feelings and express ourselves more clearly.

Aside from planting new seeds, New Moons can also be a great time to start a new routine. What can we do differently so that we can maintain better communication with others? How can we speak more openly without feeling like we are in some kind of communication battle with another? Perhaps we need to notice more where our words are coming from. See what impact will they have on other people once we decide to communicate our mind. This is not to censor our words, but to find a way to communicate more effectively and achieve our desired goals.

With the Moon's square to Neptune and Jupiter, we are going through a big learning period and insights can come from different sources. Do not worry if these new lessons seem confusing. They do not need to make sense right now as everything will be clear with each step that we take. We are guided to notice the effects of our thoughts, feelings and beliefs.

Is someone trying to influence our decisions? Are we reluctant to follow our heart? Express our freedom and personal power, and show that nothing and no one is holding us back. We can soar to great heights, as long as we keep our sight upon our personal path.

The Moon is also forming an opposition to Saturn, and we may be feeling both tired and wired, with our mind anxiously sorting through ideas, plans and to-do lists. Taking action helps us to express and release any pent-up anxieties, and puts us in the direction of feeling more grounded, focused and aware. There may also be power struggles within ourselves, where we are trying to make a decision, and going back-and-forth between our heart and our mind. Listen to and trust the optimistic voice of our heart, rather than the negative chatter of the ego. This is our light to follow.

With the Moon's sextile to Uranus, we are ready to face the unknown to find progress. True inspiration will flow through us as soon as we get out of our own way. We are called to express our true self, and discover that we can fly. We must step into the unfamiliar so that we can find our new path. Most of what we fear at the moment is an illusion stemming from an old belief that isn't even true. The Gemini New Moon brings to us a reminder to become a more conscious co-creator of our life and to stand in our courage. Our courage to take a leap of faith. Our courage to overcome fears. Our courage to welcome change and embrace the new with an open heart.
